I am pleased to be able to tell you that I am now a homeowner, although it is a mighty small home, it is mine nonetheless. It is a one story, two bedroom townhouse with a one-car garage. It shares only one garage wall with another building. It has virtually no yard, but that is alright with me, since I don't really have time for that kind of stuff right now. It was a HUD house, so I am in the process of patching some small holes in the walls and painting. I have my apartment through the end of the month, so I will have some time to move in. Everyone at work is anxious for my housewarming party. They are anxious for any cause for a party. The closing on my house was quite an experience. It came down to the wire, but everything worked out in the end. My new address is:

XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Aurora, CO

I don't know if my phone number will remain the same or not. I will try to keep it the same.

My other news is that my deployment to the Ice next year will be for only about six weeks. From the beginning of October until the middle of November. I am happy about that. Four months plus travel time was getting a little old. Also, I don't want to leave my new place alone that long.

My last bit of news is a little premature, but I will pass it on now anyway. Our parent company (Holmes & Narver) is bidding on a contract with the Defense Nuclear Agency to remove nuclear weapons from a number of the former Soviet countries. There are a number of other companies bidding, but it looks like we will win it. We find out later this month. There is a good chance I could become involved with that project. If that is not confusing enough, Holmes & Narver has also put up the money for our Information Systems department at ASA to create a spin-off company. It will start out small, but in a year or so I might become involved with it. It is a totally separate project from ASA and from the Russian contract. It is all very tentative right now, though. So, quite a lot is happening at work and at home for me right now. I also started taking grad school courses, working towards an MS and I am almost finished with the first one. It has been a busy Spring, and it looks like the Summer will be quite busy also.
